Position is located in Austin, Texas.

You will be learning how to use the HydraCAD programs that are used for fire sprinkler design (HydraCAD, HydraList and HydraCalc)

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

Perform on-site surveys of existing fire sprinkler systems with accuracy

Draw systems in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible

Learn and Run hydraulic calculations (HydraCalc)

Learn and Run then check stock listing for fabrication of new fire sprinkler systems (HydraList)

Request plans and information from General Contractors and Architects

Build product data submittals

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1 to 2 years design experience using AutoCAD is required (see below)

Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD is required

Must be able to follow directions

Must be comfortable asking questions

Must be able to read and understand blueprints

Prior experience using HydraCalc is a plus

Preferred background but not required:

Previous construction experience is a plus

A degree in Architectural and Engineering Computer Aided Design would be an acceptable alternative to on-the-job design

experience

Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
