This entry level position is considered a trainee who is learning the mechanics of fire alarm system, security system, CCTV Cameras and Access Control system installation and service. This position will assist with the performance of routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance under direct supervision. In addition, this role will support the diagnosis and evaluation of systems that require servicing as well as troubleshooting issues that arise during inspections. This position may install and test systems under the close guidance of an experienced Technician. Position receives guidance and direction regarding day-to-day work tasks from an experienced Technician.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in testing, inspecting, servicing and installing small fire alarm systems, security systems, cameras/CCTV, access control and other low voltage systems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair systems

  • After 90 days of employment will be eligible to begin the “company paid apprentice program.”

Job Requirements:

  • Electrical aptitude such as home or general electrical repairs is a plus.

  • Experience in construction or similar field with demonstrated electrical skills or related training is a plus but not required.

  • Current fire alarm apprenticeship training is a strong plus but not required.

  • Must possess a valid drivers’ license with a good driving record

Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
